About our Villa and Garden

The villa was built in 1998, high up on a hillside with lovely views of the green hillsides across the valley and the cliffs that drop into the sea in the bay to the east. In between the cliffs to the east, and straight to the south, you can see the azure blue sea. The small villa road that takes you to the house allows you to drive straight into the villa's parking garage, which is located in the basement of the villa, slightly uphill from the road. The main living area, pool area, and garden, are all located about 10 feet above the road level. This means that you never have to be bothered by people walking by or risk anything obstructing your view of the El Portet valley.

There are 3 bedrooms in the villa, 2 facing the pool, and one facing the back of the garden. All beds are equipped with top quality, super comfortable, latex mattresses. The hallway that leads you to all the bedrooms also leads you to the villa's 2 bathrooms, one with a bath tub, and one with a shower. The common room area has a large dining table, a seating area with couches, an open fireplace, and a 40 inch flat screen TV with a Blu-ray / DVD player and satellite.

Adjacent to the common room you will find the fully equipped kitchen where you will have plenty of space to prepare food and drinks. The kitchen is equipped with a large Siemens dish washer (2012), large frost-free Electrolux fridge and freezer (2012), drip coffee maker (2012), juice press (2012), electric oven, and a 4-ring gas stove (2011).

All the rooms in the villa have large windows (double glazed) that let you enjoy the views of the pool and/or the valley/sea from indoors.

The villa is equipped with an ADSL / WiFi Internet connection for free use by guests.

The garden is over 9,000 square feet large and is probably the place where you will be spending most of your time. It has lovely views of the sea and hills around the villa, a shaded seating area, a large swimming pool equipped with LED underwater lights, and a 5 seat outdoor spa (access to spa requires optional extra fee). The house and the pool are connected by a large terrace area. Next to the pool there is a shaded barbeque and seating area with running water, a fireplace, a sink, and plenty of space for preparing food.

About Moraira

Moraira on Costa Blanca, Alicante is one of the very few unspoilt locations left along the Spanish mediterannean coast. It's a quiet, up market, town with very strict building regulations, which has prevented it from getting overcrowded.

Moraira was founded as a fishing village and for a long time its natural harbors were used by ships to transport farm produce from the village of Teulada, which is situated a few miles inland, separated from Moraira by a wide belt of vineyards climbing up the hillsides.

The town center of Moraira is made up of a few blocks of 4/5 story appartment buildings of various age. This is where you will find the marina, numerous very good restaurants serving all kinds of different cuisines, bars, a 24 hour store (Opencor), and a gas station (Repsol). Have a stroll along the boardwalk, have a glass of wine on the waterfront and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the plazas.

Follow the waterfront east from the town center of Moraira, walking past luxurious multi-million euro villas while admiring the magnificent views across the sea. After a bit more than a mile you will reach El Portet, the bay that made us fall in love with Moraira. There are always a few yachts moored in the bay of El Portet, which is naturally protected against wind and rough seas by high cliffs. The inner part of the El Portet bay has a few restaurants and a wonderfully cosy thin stretch of sandy beach, Playa del Portet. The bay is surrounded by lush green mountains with villas climbing up some of the steep hillsides. From here it's easy to reach the villa, which is situated about a mile up the road in-land, by foot, bike, or car.
